Isle Royale Summer -
An Aerial Photo Tour of Lighthouses, Shipwrecks, Harbors, and Hiking Trails

Take an aerial tour around this unique island National Park that was sculpted by the glaciers of the last ice age to become a prime example of Northwoods wilderness. Accessible only by boat or seaplane, visitors come to experience this island park through hiking its trails, paddling its inland waterways, exploring its rugged coast, or venturing into the depth of its shipwrecks.

This aerial tour begins at Three Mile Island Passage. It turns around Moskey Basin and then back northwest up Rock Harbor past Mott Island Headquarters on to the Rock Harbor Lodge. It continues past Scoville Point to Blake Point. We then head around Passage Island and its lighthouse, and back southwest along the north shore.

We go past Amygdaloid Island and McCargoe Cove. We check out the interior along the mostly coastal flight path. The tour continues to Washington Harbor and Windigo. We turn around Rock of Ages Lighthouse and back northeast along the south shore. We pass Siskiwit Bay and Siskiwit Lake. We turn around Menagerie Island and the Isle Royale Lighthouse. We finish our tour by flying past Chippewa Harbor and on to Mine Point.

The DVD contains a slideshow and a gallery of all 187 photos. It features all 4 lighthouse and 2 shipwrecks. There are labels to identify the locations.  32 minutes in length.
